notes on strength . . .

They say "check on your strong friends.” This is true. But it’s crazy that questions like “how are you?” sends my mind into a million marathons. Answering that question kicks down the door of my strength and releases my own vulnerability to myself.

Notes from my journal time:

  1. What is strength at its essence?

  2. Ironically, I’ve made a habit out of drowning in my strength. So much so, that it’s become my weakness.

  3. What happens when the strong friend goes against and even stronger God? Human strength is removed to increase divine dependency.

Take the time this week to highlight your weaknesses just as much as you make an effort to hide them. I’m thankful for friends that understand my strength but also give me a home to place my weaknesses.
